The instrumental suite “Bahamut” was created in collaboration with the novelist Francisco Ortega. It contains seven tracks, adding to a total of 13 minutes, in which the band moves through various narrative passages inspired by the sci-fi novel “Bahamut”, published by the Chilean writer in March 2023.
This work has influences from progressive metal, the ambiance of Rick Wright’s keyboard, and the power of Muse in their “Absolution” era. Also, it is the first release with Aisles’ new drummer Álvaro Poblete. “We wanted to create an intricate, cyclical suite that was difficult to understand -explains Germán Vergara, Aisles guitarist-, and convey a feeling of instability and, at the same time, vertigo”.
